Daruka Mica "Flexible" composities are manufactured under the strict quality control with using selected muscovite ruby Mica paper which are backed and/or faced with reinforcing materials such as glass or polyester films to form a laminated structure.
All for highly flexible, and the reinforcing materials provide for strength & handability as the specific application requires, plain glass & varnished glass fibre cloth offers high mechnical strength & execellent abrasion resistance. Polyester films offer a slip surface for tight pull down on coils.
Daruka Mica offers composities utilizing polyester & epoxy binders with temperature classifactions 1550C (Class "F") or silicon binder with temperature classification of 180 - 2200C (Class "H' & "C").
Flexible composities are used in applications where the high Di-electric strength and heat resistance of Mica, Plus the physical properties of the backing and facing material are required. Applications include Cores, Barrier, Phase, Layer and Ground insulation in Transformers, Motors and Generators.
