Daruka Mica moulding plates is designed to soften when subjected to heat to enable it to be moulded into desired shape of form. To facilitate the moulding, the selected Mica splittings are binded with suitable resin, either shellac or epoxy.The relative large amount of resin (can range from 10% to 25% depending on product type), and application of heat for forming, permits Mica splittings to slip as necessary in asuming the desired contour Mica moulding plate, which is used for "Commutator Rings", "Tubes", "Sleeves", and perfect "Bushings".
