Rigid Mica material for heating equipment: Is rigid heating micanites consisting of muscovite or phlogopite mica paper, impregnated mica paper are consolidate under heat and high pressure to form rigid plates. In this process, the binder is completely cured.
Rigid Mica Plates marketed by Daruka & Co. (Mica) Pvt. Ltd. meet the following specifications :
ICE 371 - 3 - 3 |
|
JIS C 2254 - 1992 |
|
GB 5022 - 85 |
They are classified as 94V - 0 material according to underwriters laboratories specification UL 94.
APPLICATIONS
Rigid mica material for heating equipment 131 - 1A, 131 - 2A, 131 - 1, 131 - 2 maintain their self - supporting characteristic even after being heated. Because of this distinctive property they are most appropriate for manufacturing heating element for toaster, hair driers, popcorner and electric iron, etc.
In industrial equipment, they are used in electrical furnace, drying apparatus, thermostat, etc. they are also most efficient for producing heating element for band heaters, ring heater and washer, etc. They are also extensively used as insulator in high voltage apparatus, and as separator between components exposed to high heat.
131 - 1A and 131 - 1 made with Muscovite resist up to 550oC in continuous services. |
|
131 - 2A and 131 - 2 made with phlogopite resist up to 700oC in continuous services. 1000oC in intermittent service. |
